Surgery is a series of decisions. Why would we not aggregate the data to better inform the surgeon to have the right information, at the right place, at the right time?
When there are over 250,000 hips surgeries and 400,000 knee surgeries done annually, that is quite a bit of un-mined data that we are not arming our surgeons and their teams with.
Feed the data engine. Inform and educate all involved in the care of the patient. Increase the fidelity of information in the hands of the decision maker.
